A lot of people are planning to slow down. Nothing wrong with changing gears, and taking some time to reflect on the year that was. But the point I want to make to you today is that over the next month or so, you have an opportunity to get ahead.
Let me be really clear though…
Don’t skip the holiday you celebrate. Keep your promise of giving and receiving love to your friends and family. Don’t become a workaholic. Keep the peace at home. Maintain your family obligations.
Also, don’t be mistaken…
What I’m about to say doesn’t mean:
“Advertise the heck out of your products, and bonk your people over the head with them.”
Your Last Chance To Get Ahead
I am going to tell you to step up your business efforts, but I don’t mean be pushy or be “that guy.” No one likes “that guy.”
I’ve been involved with business for over 25 years, and this is a truth:
We slack during this time of year. That little voice in your mind might start saying, “It’s the end of the year. I’ll restart in January.” Don’t believe that little voice. The world isn’t stopping. Neither should your business.
December is actually a great time to revisit your plans. December is the time to ensure that what you have a great plan cued up for January. Start now. Or take the next week to have a strong December.
Here’s another suggestion…
Now is a great opportunity to send personalized letters to people who have made a significant difference in your business (without selling anything).
The last month of the year is huge. Don’t bow out. I encourage the opposite. Step up your efforts. Prepare and work your plan. Make a push. Now’s your time to get ahead. Don’t fall behind.
