The Right Way And The Wrong Way…

…to gracefully post on a Facebook Page wall if it’s your first time LIKING the page.

Can you guess which is “best practices” and which is SPAMMY?

Hopefully you didn’t have to guess!

Exhibit A is an excellent way to introduce yourself to a page AND extract the exact value that the page owner is most known for.

Exhibit B doesn’t understand marketing (yet). This person will struggle using the approach of plastering his “join” link on peoples’ pages AND THEN commenting on his own post… not once, but twice. Don’t be that guy (or gal).

They take personal responsibility for their success or failure. Placing blame on anything outside yourself is the biggest indicator of all that you weren’t serious. You were only buying hope.

My friend and colleague Mike Dillard has some good stuff. Today I want to share a quote of his that I grabbed from his Elevation Group membership that I’m a part of. Take these words to heart. They’re very powerful!

“When someone has a core desire to accomplish something…

They are consumed by it.

They are constantly reading books about the subject and listen to audio training in the car.

They don’t care what their friends or family members think.

They associate more and more with the people they look up to and want to become.

They attend every available webinar and conference call they can on the topic.

They sacrifice whatever they need to sacrifice in order to sustain the journey toward their goal.

They take personal responsibility for their success or failure. Placing blame on anything outside yourself is the biggest indicator of all that you weren’t serious.

You were only buying hope.

If you want to make more money, you have to increase your value level to the world.

The fastest way to increase your value level, is to acquire new skills.

And the fastest way to acquire new skills, is purchase the training materials produced by those who came before you.”

1. Read what others are saying. This is a smart way to “Listen” to the needs, wants and desires of other like-minded networkers.

2. If you can effectively listen, you increase your chances of being heard. Over 14,000 network marketers like my page. Commenting and engaging is a no-brainer strategy for making more relationships with others, and that is what this business is all about.

3. All of them have 30+ LIKES, 15+ comments and have been seen (impressions) over 10,000 times.

  • If you are attempting to market to EVERYONE, you’ll reach NO ONE. So ask yourself,
    -“Who is the type of person you’re looking for?”
    -“What are their problems?”
    -“What are their concerns and questions?”Quick little formula:
    Recognize the problem, twist a knife in that problem, justify that problem via a third source, offer a solution, and a reason to “do it now.”
    Read what others have said, and leave your own comment here.

 

  • More and more people are joining network marketing, and more and more are coming online … so I hear people say “I won’t be heard. I’m just a small fish in a huge sea.” My advice: don’t think about “being heard.” Instead, focus on “listening.” Tell me what you hear when you do… is it the same thing I hear?
