How To Deal With Your Emotional Baggage (and STILL Succeed)

Ann Sieg Mindset Coaching

I have mastered the art of teaching my students and customers alike the “How To” of building a business that you can own. What I don’t always discuss is the mindset behind it all. And when we’re talking about mindset, we inevitably have to address the things that hold us back. This video focuses on handling the emotional baggage that can sabotage our best and most sincere efforts.

I’m going to do two things in the video:

  1. I’m going to share how I deal and have dealt with my emotional baggage, and the strategic plan that I use to be proactive with such things. This has worked for me, and I think you’ll find value in it too.
  2. I’m going to share with you as a business educator, what needs to happen for you to truly help people and get tangible results. This is a very pragmatic approach that you’ll be able to use immediately.

Go ahead and watch this video and leave a comment below with your thoughts. Does this resonate with you?

  1. Our past is where it belongs…in the past. We are our best cheerleader in giving our self permission to be more – to do more – to reach for more. When someone tells me I can’t I smile and tell them to watch me.

In the natural, you will move in the direction that your eyes are looking. In the spiritual, it works the same way. Whatever you focus your mind and heart on, you will move toward. Focus and DREAM big

“Our fears are an amazing gift of the imagination … a way of glimpsing what might be the future when there’s still time to influence how that future will play out.” Karen Thompson Walker

Give yourself permission to be amazing -someone is waiting for you to take your first step to give them the courage to take theirs.

    Loved this video Ann!!

  2. I have learned how to:

    Set up a hosting account
    Develop several WordPress sites
Learn publishing through aweber and mailchimp
    Write and publish articles
    Use ftp
    Understand a little code (html)
Collaborate with other experts, having them provide content for me
    Shoot, edit and post videos
Promote links, videos, blogs through social media
    Mastermind with like minded people
Teach someone else how to set up her own website
Encourage others on their path to success
    Participate in forums
Research key words and niche ideas
    Think for myself
    Follow successful people
Be professional in all my communication
There’s probably more but that will come to me asI continue to open myself up to learning more.

As far as emotional baggage goes, I love this idea of building competency, gaining confidence and focusing on your up-comings. People close to us who don’t relate to us matter, and it’s hard to dismiss what they say and how they feel; however, you can’t be who you truly are unless you (as Ann says) let all that go. It’s just one hurdle in the many towards removing the “pain” of not having what you want and need for your future. This is an amazing video – so “practical” and gets right to the heart of your “why” – your motivation – and how to overcome the mind and its many fluctuations.

    Dear Ann,

What you shared is so helpful especially when for the past 12 months I given the task of doing accounts of which I have no knowledge of. I felt like I was thrown into the water not knowing how to swim. I struggle a lot. felt incapable but somehow I keep pressing on learning from others and yesterday… I was able to accomplish what seems impossible. Even though I quit my job, I am capable, confident and competent to teach my ‘sucessor’ how to prepare the final accounts for external auditor.

My next task is to complete my blog. Thanks Ann… You are great motivator!

    • Thanks for sharing your experience, Maria. It sounds like you did just awesome proving to yourself what you were capable of doing. I know you will be able to complete your blog. :)
