Here’s why Twitter is worth $24 billion.
Because starting every Thursday from 1-1:30 PM CST I will be doing an “Ask Ann” Question and Answer session on Twitter where people ask me stuff and I answer.
Ha!
Alright, alright … maybe my teeny tiny small contribution with this Question and Answer session isn’t what has valuated Twitter’s stock price at 24 Billion, but this is still going to be fun.

To get me warmed up, my staff member Eric Walker asked me a few sample questions (see the sample Q & A below) that I thought might be appropriate. Obviously, you’ll want to come with your biggest, most pressing business and marketing questions, but we’re human, and that doesn’t mean it has to be all business stuff.
Also, it’s Twitter. So we only have 120 or 140 characters to ask and reply. So it’ll be light, fun, and ongoing.
For me, this is all part of my initiative to get social.
Here are those practice Twitter-style questions and answers from Eric. This will give you a good example of what it might be like Thursdays at 1 CST.
Q: Ann what would you recommend my 21 year old son do with his life? He just graduated college and his degree is pointless?
A. Figure out why he went to college in the first place and reflect on what he wants his life to look like in five years. Work it backwards from there.
Q: Ann, I sell kids books. What other ways to make money from them in addition to direct sales?
A: Perhaps you put your books into audio format and consider a book of the month club reading other children’s literature.
Q: How do I get over my fear of “networking” with people out of the blue?
A: Be friendly in your approach. Look at what they’re doing and ask if you can help in any way. Most people are amazed when people take an interest in them.
Q: My wife’s a talented writer but she doesn’t believe in herself, how do I convince her?
A: Find ways for her to start putting her writing out there. Perhaps all she needs is a list of venues to make that happen. Start with the least threatening and work up from there.
