  1. How is this conference going to make me “now” money. I’ve been to expensive away events before that never made me a dime.

  2. Sounds great Ann, but how is this going to really show me the nuts and bolts of making real money as their are way to many areas in internet marketing to focus on. when it comes to your business. And this just eat’s up time with no results but with lots of ideas, yep i am confused again.
Is this going to address the real steps that you must adhere too to start making an income with different businesses, or are we going to walk out with a box with many which ways to turn.

    • Hi Martin,

Yes, of course, there are going to be a number of options. As much as people would like an easy paint by numbers road map the fact is (and it’s a good thing!) there are lots of directions to take with online marketing.

I will, for example, be talking about my team “mini-launch” webinar system. Is that a fit for everybody? Absolutely not! Will there be people who watch my presentation and decide that’s just what they need for their business. Absolutely!

Will I be able to give every minute detail on how to execute it all during my 50 minute presentation? Absolutely no way. There is way too much material to cover in 50 minutes. But they’ll at least have a good idea of whether this is something they want to implement it into their business. And if they want to learn more they know where to find me.

And how about lead generation? There are so many different methods out there that there is no one “universal” method everyone must do. I think that is the beauty of our industry.

So rather than being upset about all the options to choose from I see that as the strength of our industry.

As for yourself and you’re decision making process you’re going to need to figure out what are your unique strengths and abilities. We all need to do this. Perhaps that is the starting point for you. Have you done that type of exercise?

From there you can look through the roster of speakers and figure out who you are most interested in learning from. That’s what I did when I listened to the various speakers. I’m already narrowing my list of information based off the specifics of my business. I would suggest the same for you.

      Hope this helps!

  3. Hi Tim,

It’s your mindset or preparation coming into the event that I’m talking about. For example, I attended a workshop with master copywriter John Carlton back in May of 2008. I just “showed up” ready to learn.

What I could have done is planned a couple of interviews in advance. Get to know who would be there and contact them letting them know I’d like to interview them. As it was John had two very important guests at the workshop who were very well known copywriters. I could have interviewed both of them and either sold those interviews or at the very least had them as a nice bonus to use in a future promotion.

That’s just a little sample of what I’m talking about. I’ll give you a whole lot more in our pre-event webinar training.

So rather than thinking these events “didn’t make me a dime” you should strategize in advance how you can create a different outcome.
