Coach Curt’s Comments: It’s Your Fault They Say, “No”

Coach Curt Johnson here…

Most of us MLMers have something that we really are passionate about.

It could be a health product, the culture of our company, a great pay plan – something we think is second to none.

We all need to feel that way regardless of how factual it is. Unfortunately, we think everyone will see what we see. We fall into “constipation of the brain” and/or “diarrhea of the mouth.” We spout off way too soon and way to much, rather than LISTEN.

This is a problem, but I’m offering a quick solution in my audio…

Which means, if you want to change your NO’s to YES’s, listen to this quick story. If you can grasp the moral, you will change your business dramatically.

What To Do Next

Obviously, get to work.

But start listening, and pick up the necessary skills required to build a successful network marketing business.

That’s why I recommend Ann’s free Attraction Marketing primer book called The Attraction Marketers Manifesto.

It’s a definitive guide to rapidly growing and/or protecting an MLM organization. It will teach you how to buil “YOU” and become an instant leader in your company. Plus over 133 ideas about how to attract endless prospects that are pre-sold and eager to talk with you about your business.

  1. So Coach Curt, is the moral of this story that we should come alongside sailors????? Sounds good to me!!!

[Thank you for this wise message, my friend. You’re the best.]

    Jory

  2. Good example Curt! I don’t like it when network marketers only want to get to know you for the sole purpose of “sprouting off once they know you a little”. It doesn’t work to just pretend that you’re interested in someone, like all those facebook messages that turn up, with strangers trying to build a relationship for a couple of messages. And, you know what’s coming up soon:-)

Much better to learn marketing as Ann teaches in her book and in her training program.

  3. This actually applies to everyone in sales, not just MLM’ers! Instead of the coffee shop owner quietly going broke with his great idea and storefront, he found a different way to make it work. I think they call that “check & adjust”!

  4. As you have said many times, they buy/join for their reason not yours. If you don’t know their reason, the odds that you will offer them what they want (in their words and thought patterns) is exceedingly small.

    Thanks Curt

    • Hi Hale – reminded me of a science exercise we did once. Hung 3 basketballs in random places from the ceiling in a huge gym – then blindfolded took a softball and threw it. Our teacher said that was the odds of something happening (can’t remember what – LOL) – BUT those odds are the same as old school “grab & blab” techniques….

  5. I agree that talking to everyone is time consuming, old school, and extremely frustrating. I also agree that I don’t want people to feel like I’m interested in getting to know them only because of monetary benefits. However, I think if we’re completely honest our goal in making these relationships, whether on line or off is to grow our business. The challenge is to get others to see that this is a two way street; it has a very big potential of benefiting both of us. Its an opportunity to allow true capitalism to happen. We compete to win by having the highest numbers, but we also cooperate to provide a quality product to the market place, and by working together we become the best in our field in network marketing. The results, no boss, no glass ceiling, and a net worth that provides for all that we want in life.
