Here was his secret:

Make your ad look like a news story.

In other words, don’t make it look like an ad!

The trick, Gary said, was to create newspaper ads that looked, felt, smelled and sounded like articles (content).

And then at the end of that article, you simply perform a “public service” for the readers by telling them where and how to order.


Now you might not be running full-page newspaper ads, but the principle behind this method is timeless and applies to everything online and offline.

So what?

Content (or material that LOOKS like content) gets at least 500% more readership than material that is obviously advertising!

And that is exactly what Facebook Sponsored Stories are.

They’re ads that look like regular content on Facebook.

That explains why the CTR (click-through-rate) on Rich’s Sponsored Story ads is often 2,200% higher than the CTR on his regular PPC ads.

That means 22 TIMES as many people clicking on his Sponsored Story ads than on his PPC ads!

In fact, a study done by an advertising agency called AdParlor (one of Facebook’s largest ad buyers) clearly shows that Sponsored Stories are at LEAST 350% more effective at getting fans than the regular right-hand-
side PPC ads.
