Ann Sieg’s “21 Suggestions For Success” (Video #4)

“Be the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.”

Discussing this attribute with my husband he felt there is a special place in people’s hearts for curmudgeons. He plans to build a case for that :-)

But in all seriousness, being positive is most definitely an aspect of being an attractive person.

Listen-in as I share additional perspective on Suggestion #4 and then please share your thoughts about this Suggestion for Success #4.

With this “21 Suggestions For Success” video series, I hope to impart some of the things I’ve learned both from the personal side of business as well as the professional side.

This is probably one of the most important aspects to this business and yet at times it is the most difficult.
Everybody says I’m such a happy go lucky person and yet this year has dealt me so many set backs that at times I don’t know which end is up. But if you don’t force your self to be positive the bad things will destroy you.
I’m glad I joined DMC and even though I’m having to go slow the info overload at times is awesome. But I know this is finally the best place to be and I thank you Ann and Coach Curt for your insights and help.
We are going to make it yet.

    Dennis

    • So pleased to have you here, Dennis. It’s very difficult when you’re thrown a lot of curve balls. Especially all in one year. Stay plugged into our community. The support you receive here will be unlike any other. We’ve got some really great leaders who really care about our community. I’ll see you in our private Facebook Group page!

  2. Well said. I like how realistic you are about enthusiasm. Its a great trait, and effective leaders certainly show it. And most of us could let some of our own enthusiasm show more. Yet, even a naturally bubbly person needs to have other moods to be real.

  3. Thank you for sharing your wonderful insight.
For me: Enthusiasm helps to inspire and motivate those who would sit on the fence. It is at times the needed spark to get the engine running. There is a time for the engines to idle, in between performances. Timing and application will determine the level of enthusiasm that is needed. That is where my struggle to tone down my drive can get me run off course.

    • Agreed. Enthusiasm and a real delight in what you do makes a huge difference for people. It’s not something that is easily faked. It is or it isn’t.

Most definitely there’s a time for idle and there’s a time for full throttle.

  4. Hello Ann, Thanks fo sharing these great ideas with us. I believe we all have encountered at least one person that made a difference in our lives because of their enthusiasm… For me it was my Mother, what a Gal, I’ll share some of our story someday.

But today I just viewed a video of a story of a young man whose enthusiasm is very unusual. I would like to share this short video with you and your team.
Video entitled, “No Arms, No Legs, No Worries” go here: http://youtu.be/Gc4HGQHgeFE

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day. For me that’s Every Day.
Best Wishes, Always G. Boyce Bazzell (Bazz)

  5. Thanks for stopping by, Gavin. I’ve seen the video of the armless, legless man. Totally amazing. How he goes swimming is beyond me. But it’s his attitude that is really unique. Oh, that we could all have a good measure of his exuberance for life. What an inspiration.

Glad you were blessed with a really special mom. I’d love to hear the story. Perhaps at one of our DMC live events. I hope to see you at one of them. :)

  6. Bruce Hardy says:

THANK YOU Ann and your Staff for “lifting me up when i am down”!!! Sometimes being “Positive and Enthusiastic” means being OPEN to the possibilities your “negative” circumstances create in your life: For instance… yes, I got laid-off from my second job on the Monday BEFORE Thanksgiving and that was after my Health Insurance business made no $$ due to lack of consumer confidence in Obamacare (things I cannot control)….BUT these “failures” left me uniquely AVAILABLE and free to literally jump in with both feet when a long-time friend (keep those relationships!) called me on the Monday AFTER Thanksgiving to offer me a job at a BRAND NEW store that AT&T is setting up to compete in the pre-paid/pay-as-you-go cell phone market! AND I’ve just been told I may get my own store as early as next year!!!!! Wow………but I had to LET GO of the negativity that came upon me as a result of those circumstances I mentioned above! My favorite verse is “And it came to PASS…..” It didn’t come to STAY!!!
Thanks again Ann!! I only wish I had the funds to take advantage of your Black Friday offer, but I assure you I WILL join after the first of the year! Much love and appreciation to you all!!
    Bruce M Hardy

    • Hi Bruce, So sorry to hear what happened to your insurance. I know millions of people are being negatively affected by Obamacare. So glad you very quickly found another job. I hope you do own an AT & T store by next year. That would be fantastic! I’ll see you next year inside the Daily Marketing Coach. Keep me posted. :)

  7. This success tip is one I am challenged to work on.

I operate from a position of “responsibility “, that coupled with my personality and disposition leaves me several steps below a bubbly, enthusiast persona. I work to be aware of my posture, tone, expression.

In my writing there is room to lighten up a bit. So a work in progress. I’m so grateful to be a part of DMC and the mentoring here

Thanks Ann for sharing these tips with us
