“Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated.”
Sadly, overall I think this suggestion has taken a bit of a back seat at a cultural level. I’ve found that the Internet has made it easier for people to sling barbs because they’re not right in front of that person. It’s a growing problem amongst the youth as they suffer public humiliation via social media posts from their fellow classmates. Without the basics of civility our societies suffer. I believe the communities you associate with are integral to shaping out character attributes. Choose whom you associate with carefully.

Ann,
I love the message you just put up. I am a firm believer in treating everyone like you would like to be treated. You know Zig says Help other get what they want and you will receive what you want. I try my best to live up to that . Have a great day
Thanks for the comment, Warren. The Golden Rule is true as ever. Giving honor and respect is a universal trait we should all aspire to. Great to have you in the Daily Marketing Coach community.
This is one of the many reasons I love you, Ann. You practice what you preach — and you “preach real real good”!!!
Thank you for this excellent reminder of the importance of civility, humility, and grace, all key ingredients of success.
Jory
Thanks, Jory!
I appreciate you too. You demonstrate all these attributes quite nicely.
Hi Ann,
It is such a pleasure to me that I stumbled across this post. I do believe that the main reason we are all here on this planet is to serve others. I live by the old saying “Do unto others….” Guess that was ingrained in me since childhood. And I am sure glad it was and became part of who I am.
Empathy (walking in someone else’s shoes) is a big part of this. Once you can do it by effective listening and with a caring heart, people will appreciate that. But more than that, maybe it can rub off on them. You see, I do believe that our actions speak louder than words.
If we have empathy, respect, and honor other people, this is our main purpose. If but one person emulates our behavior, we have done a wonderful thing in our life.
Thanks for this insightful video!
